Whole Planet Foundation
We have supported Whole Planet Foundation, a Whole Foods Market non-profit, since 2012 through showcase events during SXSW, Pre-Grammy parties and at Whole Foods Market locations. In 2021, we pivoted towards organizing a virtual concert to coincide with International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month in March to benefit women entrepreneurs supported by Whole Planet Foundation’s micro-lending programs in the US and 76 other countries. The concert was hosted in partnership with URSA Live, featuring 2021 Grammy nominee Debi Nova, Grammy-nominated artist RuthAnne, and Andy Allo, star of the Amazon Prime show Upload. Brands supporting the concert include ALO Drink, Taylor Guitars, Genius, Arte Wellness juice, and more.
Whole Foods Market
Since 2010, we have partnered with Whole Foods Market to organize events in store locations in Southern California and their headquarters in Austin, Texas. The events featured many emerging and global artists and have been sponsored by brands retailed in Whole Foods and often in support of Whole Planet Foundation.
Rock N’ Yoga Series
We have organized music and wellness events including the Rock N’ Yoga Summer series sponsored by VitaCoco in partnership with CorePower Yoga, Whole Foods Market, and Gibson Brands at the Gibson showroom in Los Angeles. The series featured eight practices taught by CorePower Yoga followed by eight performances by emerging artists and healthy meals provided by VitaCoco, Whole Foods Market and partners. Attendees included artists, influencers, and guests in the entertainment industry.
Allihoopa by Reason Studios
We supported the Allihoopa app created by Reason Studios of Sweden to feature dozens of artists who encouraged their fans and app users to create new versions of their vocals and instrumental music. We also organized showcase events featuring artists performing at the NordicLA creative space in Hollywood and during NAMM in Anaheim and SXSW in Austin.
Instagram Live series 2020
At the start of the pandemic with live music events being cancelled, Planet LA teamed up with Digital LA to host a weekly music series on Instagram Live from March 28 to May 30 featuring around a hundred musicians performing in support of the music charity Sweet Relief. The series was presented by Seymour Duncan with support from Pop Art, ALO Drink, Ito En, Lifeway Kefir, Foodstirs and MadeGood snacks.
